Τhe nutcracker

A Christmas music-tale

A performance for children based on the fairy tale ''The nutcracker and the king of mice'' by the German author E.T.A. Hoffmann.

Eirini Nikolakopoulou and Thomas Beltsios become part of the story of the Nutcracker and urge the children to follow them! Storytelling fuses with playing and the story becomes one with music. Lyrics are introduced to Tchaikovsky’s melodies and children can sing them with us.

On New Year’s Eve all the toys come alive and the children will have to fight the King of Mice along with the Nutcracker. We are going to travel through Candy Land, meet the Snow Queen and after lots of adventures we'll find the magic sword! The children become part of the story and can choose how it ends. Μusic games are a basic element of the story. The children are introduced to musical instruments and discover rhythm and melody in their body and voice.
